Attention actors, painters, musicians, sculptors, dancers and all types of creative artists!

Join ArtCorps and use your creative talents to strengthen international development in Central America in 2009.

Final application deadline is May 30, 2008.

Through community arts projects, artists educate and inspire people to participate actively in improving the environmental, health, and social conditions in their communities. Each works for 1 or 2 years with a host nonprofit development organization that is an expert in its field.

ArtCorps is a volunteer program, but you will receive airfare, room and board, medical insurance, and a modest stipend.

New for 2009!

Then see the Artist Application link (below or in the left navigation bar) to begin your application.

Past ArtCorps artists are saying:

"Only now have I had the opportunity to integrate these important cultural beliefs into my work... I feel like my work has hit a new level of depth and importance."

"I feel a tremendous sense of solidarity with the people and struggles of Central America that can only be forged through developing relationships and friendships."

As our available funding grows, it is expected ArtCorps will expand worldwide.
