Values, Mission and Goals of ArtCorps Our Values
Our Mission ArtCorps advances social change initiatives by promoting arts and culture as powerful tools to generate cooperative and sustainable work between development organizations and the communities they serve. ArtCorps is a dynamic young organization using the arts to advance social change initiatives in developing countries. Each year, ArtCorps sends volunteer professional artists to work with Central American development organizations with established environmental, public health and human rights programs. During their year placements, the artists introduce the arts as an effective methodology for community empowerment and engagement, educating and inspiring people to participate actively in improving the environmental, health, and social conditions in their communities.
