Support ArtCorps and female artisans of Guatemala by purchasing a beautifully hand-crafted bag!

This bag was handmade at Imperio Maya, a women’s cooperative in the Highlands of Guatemala. Many women of this region practice back-strap loom weaving, an art form which has been a distinctive part of Mayan culture for centuries. Mayan women continue to transfer this part of their cultural heritage from one generation to the next. By making a purchase, you are supporting these hardworking artisans as well as the ArtCorps mission to use art and culture as vehicles for social change in Central America.

Large tote- $50

Medium tote- $40

Medium Satchel- $40

Small tote- $30

NOTE: These bags were constructed using hand woven materials; therefore, each one is unique in color and pattern.

Bags are currently being sold at Canaan Farms on Route 1A in Wenham and from the ArtCorps office at 240 County Road in Ipswich. Please contact info@artcorp.org or 978.998.7995 with any questions.
